Getting a jump on the holiday season

The girls decided today to write letters to Santa, which has made me realize they've been watching far too much tv with commercials. The letters were pretty amusing; here are some excerpts from Quay's:

Dear Santa,
How are you doing at the North Pole? I want a Cinderella cookie and other things too, please.... And please can I have star cookies too please? I'm going to share with my mom and dad and sister and brother when he grows up. And I want a flower for my mom. And can I have toy fire please?... And I want toy eyes for our potato heads. And I want potato heads... And a toy with real hair like me and my mom and my sister and a little bit of hair like my dad....

And she even signed her own name, all by herself for the first time ever! Babs' letter was pretty straightforward, including lots of detail about exactly which Barbies she wants. But her letter ended inexplicably with this postscript:

"I love Santa. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

I hope he's not scared off by threats of cannibalism.
