We had a fun Fourth of July this year! We started the celebration with this cute and yummy dessert... Red-White-&-Blue Star Shaped Shortcakes! Not a great picture, but the idea is a slice of angelfood cake cut into a star and topped with whipped cream, blueberries, and strawberry slices cut into stars. The girls helped me make them. Fun and yum!
Then instead of any kind of real fireworks, we had our own pyrotechnics... sparklers!
Babs thought they were great...
MungBean loved them too!

But then by the end, she decided maybe they weren't so deadly dangerous after all...
And last of all the kids drew their own fireworks on the driveway! Hope your holiday was spectacular too!
