Quay's big birthday gift from her parents was a corner of the backyard to turn into a Butterfly Garden. She was thrilled with it. So far it contains blue, red, and pink columbines, white and pink daisies, purple-and-white bachelor's buttons, lavender, multicolored snapdragons, and a pink butterfly bush. I'd like to put in a few more plants next year, but we'll see how these guys to to start. She is very good about watering her plants and taking care of them. (She did not help me spread mulch around them the other day however.) Hopefully this will be a fabulous butterfly hangout!
