The Royal Ball
QuayQuay's birthday party was this afternoon. The theme was a Royal Ball and all of the guests came in their best princess dresses. (The two boys who came were dressed as Spiderman and a pirate.) The royal guests made crowns, listened to one of my all-time favorite stories "An Invitation to the Butterfly Ball, played Pin the Kiss on the Frog Prince, played the Princess and the Pea (sitting on pillows to figure out which one was hiding a rock), played freeze dance, and danced and danced and danced. Quay scored big on the gifts: 2 Barbies, 3 Littlest Pet Shop sets, plus coloring books, stickers, a kite, and lots of fun stuff. Everyone loved the purple-frosted cupcakes and the blue lemonade, and I think all of the guests had a good time. The birthday girl herself told me it was the best birthday ever. And the fun is just beginning! On Wednesday, her actual birthday, we'll do cake and presents just the 5 of us, then on Friday we're getting together with Meredith and Melissa and their families, and then on Sunday we are going up to Salt Lake to do Easter/continuing birthday celebrations with the Salt Lake family. Birthdays are better when they last a week or so! (By the way, I'll post pictures later, but I wanted to at least write about the big birthday bash today and really who knows when I'll get those pics off the camera!)

Another royal ball that I was not invited to. I guess I am glad that they had fun :)
