a poem by Shel Silverstein
Here comes summer,
Here comes summer,
Chirping robin, budding rose.
Here comes summer,
Here comes summer,
Gentle showers, summer clothes.
Here comes summer,
Here comes summer--
Whoosh--shiver--there it goes.
This picture was taken about a week or so ago, on a gloriously warm and sunny day. Since then, I enthusiastically planted my garden, then it snowed, then we got an overnight frost, and my zucchini and marigolds are no more. :( Ah, Springtime!

I'm sorry you lost your plants. This spring weather is crazy.
Poem by Heather Rhinehart:
Where is summer?
Where is summer?
Frozen windshields, icy roads.
Where is summer?
Where is summer?
Snow in May, frost-bit toes.
Where is summer?
Where is summer?
I guess I should have moved to Costa Rica where I originally thought I should go.
And no end in sight.
