"Oh, they're soooo cute! WHERE do they get that red hair from?"
"What cute redheads." (pause while they scrutinize me) "Does their dad have red hair?"
"I love that red hair. Is your husband Irish?"
No. No. No. They get that red hair from ME. I know it's hard to believe now that adulthood has turned my once lovely auburn tresses to a muddy brown, but deep in my soul I am a redhead. So here's proof...

Me, age 5. See, it's red! Darker than Babs and MungBean's, but still indisputably red. I'm going to start carrying this picture in my wallet to show people that I did have something to do with my kids' genetic makeup. (OK, maybe not Quay's, but 2 out of 3 anyway.)
Oooh, and aren't I just so cute!!!
For comparison purposes, here's Babs at the same age...
I think she looks like my kid!

That's so weird. I thought you had red hair. Do you really have brown hair and in my mind you just have red hair? I didn't think it was Babs red, but still red. Now I'm feeling a little crazy.
Not only can I HANDLE the truth - I LOVE the truth! Say what you want - people in random stores - you, my friend, have red hair - and if they don't belive it - just show them your temper! HA HA HA! I must keep my red hair inside.
I've always considered your hair reddish and therefore red. :-)
I'd say you definitely have red hair.
That's part of the reason I dyed MY hair red. I was tired of people asking me where Elijah got his blond hair. Um, hello? Apparently dishwater blond isn't considered actually blond.
You were such a cute little kid! :)
I think you were cute and Babs does look a lot like you. She does have some of her dad in her as well. Maybe you both have just enough kinda red in your genetic makeup to make those firey red headed kids!
so cute! I LOVE the red hair!
So cute! She looks just like you:)
