The Many Adventures of Giraffey-the-Pooh

Giraffey's back! Yay! I'm so sorry I made everyone cry, but we really really really thought she was gone! This morning as Munkus was leaving for work, he found that the wind last night had blown the stroller off the porch. As he was righting it, there was Giraffey! As you can see from the picture, QuayQuay was thrilled to have her back. Now, this was not the first time Giraffey has disappeared, just the first time she's disappeared outside of the house, and therefore the most traumatic. (For lots of us obviously!!!) We often joke about how Giraffey loves to go off on adventures. So I asked Quay to ask Giraffey where she'd been all week. They had a little conversation and then Quay informed me that Giraffey first went to Florida to visit Stephen (my cousin who's serving a mission there) and while she was there she rode on the Tower of Terror. It was a little scary. Then she went to Lagoon where she rode on Bulgy the Whale. She was in the first car so she got really wet. (Hmmm, it sounds like they've remodeled the ride since I was last there... but it all adds up as Giraffey was pretty damp when we found her...) Anyway, I'm glad that she enjoyed herself while she was out and about, and I'm really glad that she's back.

I guess we've had a little taste of what's to come. Someday Quay and Giraffey will part ways. I will cry again. Again, I'm sorry for all the emotional turmoil I put you all through, but it meant a lot to me to get all your sympathy. I'm glad I wasn't the only one mourning my kids' fleeting youth. Thanks for all of your support and concern. We love you all!
